| If you take say a 18x10 with a +45 Offset If you widen the rim the standard way. You will add to the rims back spacing. Thus an 18x10 rim with +45 offset becomes a 18x12 with +70 offset. What that means is that you just pushed the rim into your springs. So what is your only choice but to run a 2" spacer. And then maybe you got the rim to fit but now you gave up getting a proper rear lip rim. One the best features of having wider wheels. So the bottom line is you can't really get around it. When you get a widebody get the proper wheels.
